One Last Memory To Hold On To

I have just discovered that I am about to be diagnosed with amnesia. What a shock! I have never really thought about how people live on with their life having amnesia. When everything that happens to you and suddenly it vanishes into thin air. Some of these memories might be significant to these people’s lives. Everything is forgotten…..

Lucky enough, I am allowed to keep one memory. A memory that I can defiantly hold on to forever. It could be a memory that makes me happy or a memory that makes me sad. I have countless memories from my past that I would love to remember, but I can only have ONE!

A memory that I would NEVER forget was when I was baptized by my grandfather. (Papa) I was baptized in Gay, Georgia at the Gay Baptist Church on June 26, 2005. This memory is so important to me because it had made a HUGE impact on my life. One summer at vacation bible school at the Greenville Baptist Church I had realized that I needed Jesus Christ in my life. I knew all along that he was always there but, I needed him to live in my heart to stay. I can’t describe how I had felt when my head was being dunked into the water. I had realized from that point on that this was a turning point in my life. Being baptized by someone you love very much just means the world to me. I can’t imagine not having my Lord Savior in my life. Without him, I wouldn’t be living and breathing. I can say that this memory is so important to a lot of people. Some people out there probably never get the chance to accept Jesus Christ in their life. I am so thankful to share that moment with my Papa. This is the one last memory to hold on to….

Learned Lessons

Well, we just finished studying on Anne Frank. I have learned a lot from this. Mrs. Chapman showed us some video scenes from the Holocaust that showed the Jews being put into concentration camps and gathered up by the Nazis. They were treated very poorly. Some Jews were even killed for trying to suggest better ways to do certain things. I can’t imagine why they would do such a horrid thing to these innocent people like you and me. People today still don’t understand that no matter what race or color you are, you should be treated equally.

I think Mrs. Chapman had a purpose for us to learn about this because it brings out a good message. I have realized that we are so fortunate to be in peace today and we are a free country. Anne Frank has been a positive role model to me ever since we read the story. Even though going through hard times still had faith in her heart and looked to the bright side always. The Jews being persecuted for their religion in the Holocaust just brought to my attention that people can make a difference today. If the world can come together and make peace with each other and the world would be a better place to live in. I think that people are good at heart to an extent. We have come a long way since then and our economy has improved but it is not enough for the hatred in the world towards “different” people other than you. I have learned that the Nazis and Hitler in the Holocaust didn’t get that message to clearly. Now it is time that the world takes one step forward to a new life. We can’t change the way people think, but we can make a difference if everyone puts their own bit of faith they have left in this world. The message I got from studying this is that people can hate you and treat you unfairly but do not give up on life and stick with it no matter how hard.

Can America Get Back On Its Feet?

North Korean has dropped a nuclear bomb on America and whipped out the nation. Can America prosper again from such destruction? How? What five occupations would get America going again?

One occupation would be Medical Assistance. There would be so many people in America that need medical assistance because they would be hurt or even dead at that time. So many lives wouldn’t be saved without it. We need this because we need the injured people to live long to help the few left in America to help start it back up.

Another occupation would be a Builder. Builders can help “build” America back up by re-building buildings and other things that have fallen down from the nuclear bomb. Builders would build churches, houses, companies, hospitals, and other buildings to help America and the people that suffered. Builders would be very important to America.

The third occupation would be a farmer. Farmers can grow crops to make food so the people wouldn’t die of starvation. Crops also can be transported from place to place for people to eat. Some plants farmers grow can make medicines for the pharamacists to make for the people that are sick or dying. Farmers can serve a big purpose for the nation.

The fourth occupation would be Transportation Building. That is very important because people need to get around America. Also, like I said with the crops transportation, it would help people get crops anywhere. Transportation can make a HUGE prosperity to America.

The last but not least occupation would Education. Teachers could teach kids across the nation so many things. The kids are the future of the nation and it is best that they know a lot of things and are very smart to keep America going. Teachers can also help kids from choosing right from wrong. Teaching is a very good way to help America prosper.

We Are Just A Couple of Animals!

If I were to be any animal I would be a iguana. Even though they are kind of scaly and nasty they are very smart. They are very intresting animals. To be safe, iguanas blend into their environment. They do this also to stay away from their prey. They move in very sneaky ways you can't imagine. Also, they can stay in a hot desert and actually live. Like I said, iguanas are very ugly but there is not a reason to judge them. I think it would be fun to be one. I have never seen one in person but I see them on television and they are pretty awesome animals. They are very quiet and I am pretty quiet (most) of the time. Iguanas are herbivores which means they only eat plants. Well, if I was an iguana I would not be a vegetarion. Hahaha. I would like life being an iguana.

If I had to say what animal Mrs. Chapman would be I would say she is a fox. She is very sneaky and can catch you doing anything when you least expect it. When you are doing something that you are not supposed to be doing she looks at you she kind of gives an "I am watching you" look. Mrs. Chapman is also very quiet when walking so you never know when she shows up behind you. Also, she has eyes in the back of her head. She can see anything. She is also very wise. Mrs. Chapman is good at being wise. Also, when one of her students hasn't been listening, then that is wen she gets irritated. A fox can swipe things away like your cell phone in her class. Even though she is canny like a fox, she still is a great person and teacher.

It Is the Best Time of the Year!

Well, Christmas is already here! I am so excited, but at the same time it seems like it is all coming all to fast! People like my mother and father are stressing over this trying to get presents and gifts for everyone. I see people at stores and malls trying to get the things they need and decorating their houses with Christmas trees and wreaths. I hear the Christmas carols on the radio and people singing them in the streets. I feel the warmth of the fire on my back which is so relaxing and the snow falling (if we have any ever again). I smell the sweet smell of the candles of light burning giving off a scent that is soothing. I can taste the Christmas season lurking on us. Then, I get my presents and give my gifts to others. Well, don't get me wrong, I love getting presents and gifts from people. It's just not all about that. Just think of all the people not as fortunate out there in the world. You should always be thankful for what you have and respect it. Christmas is also a time of joy. You and your family might get together and eat, which is always good for me. Like my family, we go in our living room and always read Luke 2:1-20. You might even see family you haven't seen in a while. Some, like my family come all the way down from Charlotte, North Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee or other far away places just to celebrate Christmas. Brothers and sisters come home from college to celebrate Christmas. Also, another good thing about Christmas is NO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how important Christmas is. The REAL reason of Christmas that we should all remember and know is the birth of Jesus Christ. That is most important. Think, what might have happened to the world if the birth of the Savior never happened? It is a mystery. Easter is also a very important holiday. Easter is when Jesus rose on the cross after being crucified three days earlier. Just think that Easter would have never happened if Christmas never happened.

Luke 2:10-12

but the angel assured them. "Don't be afraid." he said. I bring you great joy to all people. The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped with snuggly stripes lying in a manger."

Now, do you see why Christmas is so important? This event happened for a reason and that is why we are so blessed to be here today. That is why we celebrate Christmas time.
